Hello! I’m Annie…
and I’m a first generation Chinese American. Born and raised in Los Angeles County, I am an only child to immigrants. I spoke Cantonese at home, went to classes for Mandarin, and studied French for three years in high school (thought I have lost basically all of it… oops!). I also grew up watching a lot of Korean TV shows, which resulted in me randomly picking up bits and pieces of the languages, as well as piquing my interest in cosmetics. I was very musically inclined as a kid, and I spent most of my life playing piano, flute, and singing and dancing on stage in show choir and musical theater in high school. After graduating, I moved to Washington for college, where I met some of my lifelong friends at Seattle University. Originally a marketing major, I realized that I was not a numbers person, and so I made the switch to Strategic Communications. Wanting to pursue a career in beauty, I moved back home post graduation, and now I’m at USC pursuing my Master’s in Public Relations and Advertising. Outside of school, I love traveling, watching basketball, trying new restaurants, and trying to convince stray cats to let me pet them.
